Who We Are

Mission

The Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals is dedicated to furthering the ability of community hospitals to fulfill their primary mission of serving their communities. To this end, the Alliance will be a resource to members and a leading expert in advocating for sound health care policies and regulations.

What is the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals?

At a time when hospitals are being asked to do more and more with less, the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals works to help community and Not-for-Profit hospitals to balance these demands. We serve as a unified voice for Georgia's mission-driven hospitals, working to advance policy and regulatory issues that enable our hospitals to provide the best in medical care, quality, technology, training and community service.

What are the goals of the Alliance?

Our hospitals' mission is to serve Georgia. Ours is to serve them. We do this through:

  • Advocating with legislative assemblies to create partnerships to advance community hospital efforts and infrastructure.
  • Convening key players to advance critical issues including caring for the uninsured, providing neonatal intensive care, improving Georgia's trauma care system and training Georgia's new physicians and healthcare workers.
  • Serving as a resource to communicate messages important to community hospitals.
  • Training Georgia's new physicians and healthcare workers.
