Hospital tax introduced

Two of Gov. Sonny Perdue’s floor leaders, Rep. Jim Cole and Rep. Matt Ramsey, have introduced the new “fee” on hospitals and insurance providers to fund a $208 Medicaid shortfall.
The bill is HB 307.
Legislators from both parties have been resistant to the proposal and from what I’ve been told, none of Perdue’s floor leaders wanted to touch the bill.
