Palmyra files clarifying action

Palmyra Medical Centers files a new petition against a georgia health care agency.

ALBANY — Palmyra Medical Centers has withdrawn its petition against the Georgia Department of Community Health and Albany Surgical PC, citing a “misunderstanding” about the effects of a suit challenging a change in the certificate of need process as it relates to general surgery.

The petition was filed Thursday in Dougherty Superior Court to prevent DCH and the Board of Community Health from “promulgating, adopting and implementing the amended rule in the future,” court documents state.
